Land Acknowledgement Statement

We respectfully acknowledge that the Camino Wellness Center office is on the ancestral homelands of the Council of Three Fires—the Ojibwa, Ottawa and Potawatomi—as well as the Miami, Ho-Chunk, Menominee, Sauk and Meskwaki tribes. We feel deeply for the brutal uprooting of the indigenous people and the eclipsing of the indigenous ways with the present day overculture. We recognize that the consequent history of such actions is still alive in the present and pledge to remain sensitive and aware of this energetic undercurrent. The indigenous ways are kept safe and sound in our hearts.
